Local Scholarship Due Dates - This is a document that has all of the local scholarships that are presented at Senior Honors night and their due dates listed in order of date due. You may find paper copies of these scholarships in guidance.
NICF Scholarships - The Fulton County Community Foundation has more than 70 scholarship funds available. Scholarship dollars are varied and cover a wide range of criteria. Whether a graduating senior, current college student or non-traditional student, there are scholarships available. Due Feb 11.
Psi Iota Xi Sorority Scholarship - The Eta Mu Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority offers a Scholarship of $2000 to a graduating senior residing in Fulton County and majoring in one of the following fields: Art, Literature, Music, Speech & Hearing, or an education major of those specific majors. Due Feb 21.
William A Smith Memorial Scholarship - Two five hundred dollar ($500) scholarships are being offered to daughters and sons or grandchildren of Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose members of Lodge 1107 and Chapter 1684. These scholarships are available to high school students with a C or better grade average for the purpose of attending an accredited college (4yr. or 2yr.) or accredited technical school. Applications can be obtained from the high school guidance office or Moose Lodge 1107. Applications must be returned by February 24, 2025 to the RHS Guidance Office.
Rochester Kiwanis Scholarship - open to those students that are Key Club Members. Due Feb 27, 2025.
Rochester Lions Club Scholarship - Will offer a scholarship to Rochester High School student(s). These are awarded based on scholarship, high school activities and community service. Applicants will need two recommendations, a budget sheet, resume and a one-page profile describing yourself, your goals and your family. These scholarships are open to traditional education colleges or universities as well as vocational and technical schools such as welding, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, automotive, cosmetology, barbering or others requiring non-traditional training. Due Mar 7.
Fulton County FOP Scholarship - Scholarship for those pursuing a degree in a law enforcement field. Application, transcript and principal signature required. 1 scholarship awarded for $500. Due Mar 7.
Jordan Shafer Memorial Scholarship - The Jordan Shafer Memorial Scholarship has been established to honor one of Rochester High School's finest wrestlers. The scholarship will be awarded to an RHS Senior wrestler or manager. The student will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship after completing their first semester at a 2-year, 4-year, or technical school and submitting a copy of their grade report showing they maintained a “C” average. Due Mar 13.
Tri-Kappa Sorority Scholarship - Awards 2 scholarships of $750 each. Application, transcript and 3 recommendation letters are required. Due Mar 13.
Fraternal Order of the Eagles Scholarship - Offers scholarships for students planning to attend a two-year or four-year college. A resume and a budget sheet are required. Due Mar 13.
American Legion Auxiliary - Established several scholarships for Fulton County students interested in attending college or vocational schools. The monetary award will be made at the completion of the first semester or term upon presentation or copy of a grade report. Due Mar 13.
Brian Hooker Coaches Scholarship - Has been established for the purpose of assisting Rochester High School graduates to help offset the cost of attending their chosen college. The scholarship is designed to be a one-time award that will help the recipient with expenses incurred in their initial year of college. Due Mar 13.
Fulton County REMC Scholarship - Offers a scholarship to establish a program that encourages families of Fulton County REMC members to further their education. One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded and paid to the student at the start of their second semester. Applicant must have parents or grandparents receiving electric service from REMC or has a parent who is an employee of Fulton County REMC. Due Mar 13.
Rochester Optimist Club - Provides seven $1500 scholarships for deserving students. The scholarships may be used for college, vocational, or technical education at an accredited or certified school within the state of Indiana. One of the scholarships given is The Jim Barkman Memorial Optimist Scholarship and it is awarded to a student pursuing a career in education. The following criteria will be considered: educational goals, scholarship, leadership, recommendations submitted, and involvement in school and community activities. The scholarships are not based on financial need. Due Mar 13.
Richland Center IOOF - The Richland Center IOOF scholarship is awarded to seniors who reside in Richland Township or have a family member who is a member of the lodge. A resume is required. Due Mar 31.
Kappa Delta Phi Sorority - Will award two scholarships for seniors planning to attend college or vocational school. To apply, write a paragraph about yourself and your educational goals, and a paragraph about your family. A resume, transcript and a budget sheet are also required. Due Apr 2.
Rochester Classroom Teachers Association - Offers a scholarship for a student(s) entering the field of education. If still pursuing a career in education, the recipient will receive the award upon completion of their sophomore year. A resume and budget sheet are required along with three teacher’s recommendations. The teachers selected must represent elementary, middle, and high school. Due Apr 4.
Rochester Elks Lodge - Must be a resident of Fulton County and a child/grandchild of a member of Elks Lodge #2120. Due Apr 4.
Rochester Rotary Club - Each year the Rochester Rotary Club presents one $1,000 scholarship to prospective and/or current nursing students who reside in Fulton County. You may reapply for this scholarship each year you are a Nursing Major. Due Apr 4.
Rochester IOOF - The Rochester IOOF Lodge #47 is announcing the availability of one $500 Scholarship to a Fulton County resident wishing to further their education after high school. The $500 will be given at the beginning of the student's second term. Due Apr 14.
Fulton County Pork Producers - Awards scholarships to recognize dedication and commitment to agriculture. The recipient will demonstrate dedication to the agricultural industry with plans to make a significant contribution to the industry upon completion of his/her education. The student can be pursuing a degree in a 2 or 4-year college in an agriculture related field. Due Apr 15.
Cowen Kumler Memorial Scholarship - In honor of Cowen Kumler, this scholarship is designed to help those pursuing a career in a trade. Due Apr 18.
Rochester Iron and Metal - The Rochester Iron and Metal scholarship was created to help students graduating from Rochester High School pursue their education at a trade school with the intent to study a field related to Scrap Business. This includes Heavy Equipment Operation, Maintenance, Welding, Diesel Mechanics, Operations, etc. The owner of R.I.M, Jason Grube, is a strong supporter of individuals wanting to grow and learn new skills involving areas in what he is passionate about. Due Apr 21.
John L Eckert Memorial Educational Scholarship - The family of John Eckert, a former teacher in Huntington Community Schools, established a scholarship in 1995 to honor him and his dedication to public education. Must be majoring in public education. In the link, create a new account, click apply and select 24-25 Common Application Scholarship. Due March 3.
Anita F Boorda Scholarship for the Performing Arts - will provide up to $2,500 to high school seniors who plan to pursue a degree in Performing Arts, Music, Theatre, Dance or Production. Completing this one application will provide students access to 20+ scholarship opportunities. This scholarship is renewable for up to four years. Due Feb 15.
Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship - $2,500 scholarship for seniors with a parent who is battling breast cancer or who has lost a parent to breast cancer. This scholarship is in honor of a teacher from Plymouth who lost her battle with breast cancer and wanted to raise awareness. Due date Jan 27.
4H Accomplishment Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship awarded based on the demonstration of life skills development in animal science, animal production, civic engagement, communications, engineering and technological science, healthy, living, food and nutrition science, leadership development and plant and environmental science. $2,000 scholarship for premier achievement, premier civic engagement and premier leadership. For grades 10-12. Must have multiple years of involvement in 4H. Can pick up the application in guidance or click the link. Applications due Jan 25.
4H Senior Scholarship - Available to 4-H members in their senior year of high school. Selection is based on the member’s overall 4-H achievement. Awards range from $250-$1,000. Due Jan 25.
Hoosier Hampshire Swine Scholarship - Up to 5 scholarships in the amount of $1,000.00 each but no more than half the applicants will be awarded every year to junior swine exhibitors (unless there is not a qualified applicant) which have shown a Hampshire pig at least 5 years at the Indiana State Fair during their 4-H or FFA career and who wish to continue their education after graduation from High School. Applicants must be of good character and in good standing with the Hoosier Hampshire Swine Association and the 4-H/FFA Organizations. Applications are due June 30.
Beacon Credit Union Scholarship - scholarship for current credit union members. There are 5 scholarships for $2500 awarded. Due Jan 31.
Woodlawn Health Career Scholarship - The Woodlawn Hospital Auxiliary offers scholarships to Fulton County high school students pursuing healthcare vocations at an accredited college. Applications and a high school transcript should be returned to Woodlawn Health by April 1.
STATE/NATIONAL
Indiana Senior Scholarship Program - offers over $13,000 worth of scholarships to seniors who plan to attend a 4 year college, community college or career school. All Indiana seniors who apply for the Student-View Scholarship will also be automatically entered into a drawing for the new $500 Indiana Senior Scholarship. Application should only take 15-20 minutes to complete. No min SAT/ACT score, no essay, no application fee. Complete an application survey about colleges in your area. Winner announced in May. Deadline to enter is Apr 23.
Keystone Scholarship - $2,000 scholarships. For students pursuing a degree in Ag. Must have a parent/grandparent that is a member of Keystone. Deadline 3/1.
Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans - For high school juniors. By applying, you are applying for several scholarships except a select few that are specialized. Due Mar 1.
Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship - provides high-achieving high school and college students interested in pursuing a career in education the opportunity to earn a renewable scholarship of up to $10,000 each year for four academic years. In exchange, students agree to teach for five years at an eligible Indiana school or repay the corresponding, prorated amount of the scholarship. Must meet one of the three academic requirements: Rank in the top 20% of high school graduating class; or have a top 20% ACT or SAT score; or have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Knights of Pythias Scholarship - Enter on the website. Two essays, transcript and email are required. Winners will be posted on the Knights of Pythias website. There are 30- $1,000 scholarships being given. If you are not a member of the Knights of Pythias, you must submit using the public version of the application found in the link. Indiana Elks Vocational Grant - For seniors looking at a vocational program that is two years or less. Applications must be filed with a local Elks Lodge near the applicant's legal residence. Due date Feb 3, 2025.
Ducks Unlimited Scholarship - for high school seniors passionate about conservation, environmental science and making a difference in their community. Scholarships range from $500-$10,000. Due March 1.
SCHOLARSHIPS FROM COLLEGES
Ball State University- Miller Leadership Academy Scholarship - The Miller Leadership Academy is a scholarship program offering $11,000 per year for 4 years of an undergraduate education to students majoring in business. The program is open to all students meeting the eligibility criteria, but strong consideration is given to students from underserved and historically marginalized populations whose presence will enhance the learning environment at the Miller College of Business through increased diversity. Eureka College (Illinois) - Ronald Reagan Leadership Program - offers 4 year full tuition scholarships if selected for the program
Indiana State University- Freshman Scholarship Page - this leads to the scholarships available to incoming freshman
IU Bloomington- Cox Scholarship- scholars are provided part-time jobs and receive a scholarship package will total the official cost of attendance (in conjuction with any other insitutional, federal or state funding), requirements for the scholarship are that you are enrolled full time, demonstrate financial need by filling out the FAFSA, and demonstrate that you are a hard worker along with a solid academic record. First Nations Scholarship Program- supports incoming undergraduate Native students, covers the direct cost of attendance for Indiana University Bloomington, plus books and supplies for up to four years. Lauren Robel Bicentennial Scholarship- provides students living in 25 select counties with $2,500 per year renewable for four years, scholarship is automatically awarded to students upon admission to IU Bloomington.
IU Kokomo- Group Scholars Program Students who are accepted into the Groups Scholars program will take two courses during Summer Session II. Tuition and book fees for these courses will be covered upon a student’s acceptance into the Groups program. Groups Scholars will receive a laptop, as well as $500 in scholarships toward their Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 tuition.
Manchester University- Many scholarships are offered; academic scholarship amounts have increased this year! A scholarship is awarded just for visiting their campus. To view the many scholarships Manchester has to offer go to Undergraduate Scholarships for Manchester.
Purdue University (West Lafayette/Indianapolis) Boiler Gold Grant - Undergraduate Indiana residents at the West Lafayette campus, and incoming resident freshmen students at Purdue Indianapolis, that are enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) and are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree are eligible. Qualifying students must either be Federal Pell Grant eligible or have a family-adjusted gross income (AGI) of $80,000 or less on the FAFSA. The Boiler Gold Grant covers tuition, fees and books after the total amount of any gift aid (Pell grant, scholarships, awards) is subtracted. Any remaining balance is covered by the Boiler Gold Grant for up to 8 semesters. Housing, dining and course fees are not included in this grant.
Purdue University Laurenz Greene Memorial 4H Horticulture Schoalrship - Available to 4-H members entering Purdue University Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture pursuing an undergraduate degree in Horticulture, Turf Management and Science, Sustainable Food and Farming Systems or Landscape Architecture. Applicants must have studied at least four years horticulture and/or plant science related subject matter/project through Indiana 4-H Youth Development. Selection is based on the member’s overall 4-H achievement. $1,000 scholarship. Due Jan 25. Farmhouse Fraternity 4H Achievement Scholarship - This scholarship is sponsored by The Purdue FarmHouse Foundation of FarmHouse Fraternity and is restricted to an Indiana 4-H member who will be a freshman at Purdue University. For any young male 4-H member residing in Indiana who is (or will be) enrolled as a Freshman at Purdue University. $1,000 scholarshp. Due May 1. Indiana 4H Club Scholarship - Any young person in Indiana who is a senior in high school or who is currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution and will be transferring to Purdue University in the fall semester. Has maintained 4-H club membership and has been a member in good standing for at least four years. Must be enrolled any major course of study in the College of Agriculture or one of following majors in the College of Health and Human Sciences; Apparel Design and Technology, Dietetics, Developmental and Family Science, Early Childhood Education and Exceptional Needs, Family and Consumer Sciences Education, Environmental Health Science, Financial Counseling and Planning, Foods and Nutrition, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Human Services, Nutrition Science, Retail Management, or Selling and Sales Management. Must have your FAFSA application on file. Purdue Division of Financial Aid recommends filing by February 02, 2025. Application for this scholarship is due Jan 25.
MISC SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
- American Indian College Fund – Provides Native American students with scholarships and financial support for the nation’s 33 accredited tribal colleges and universities.
- American Indian Graduate Center & AIGCS - The largest scholarship providers to Native students in the United States, awarding $15 million in scholarships annually and more than $200 million since inception. For almost 50 years, AIGC has funded students pursing undergraduate, graduate, and professional degrees in any field of study at any accredited institution of choice, working with over 500 tribes in all 50 states.
- Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund – The nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted to providing college scholarships for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI).
- Automotive Women's Alliance Foundation Scholarship - Scholarships are awarded to female with North American citizenship and a passion for a career or advancement in the automotive, mobility and its related industries. To be eligible for a scholarship, applicants should be already accepted to or enrolled in an accredited collegiate program, with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Applications accepted throughout the year.
- Aya Healthcare Future Travel Nurse Scholarship - Whether you’re already attending nursing school or were just accepted, we encourage you to apply for the Aya Healthcare Future Travel Nurse Scholarship. Each year, up to ten (10) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to nursing students who have a 3.0 gpa or higher, are involved in extracurricular organizations and are passionate about patient care.

- The College Board Opportunity Scholarships - The program guides juniors and seniors through the college planning process and offers the chance to earn scholarships, from $500 to $40,000, for every action that students complete.
- Common App Scholarship - $2000 scholarship- requirements are to be in grade 11 or 12, be attending a college or university no later than October 1, 2025, have achieved a gpa of 2.5 or greater during the last academic year, and answer one essay prompt. Deadline November 30, 2024.
- Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation – Educational and scholarship opportunities for students of all levels.
- Dell Scholars Program – Recognizes academic potential and determination in students that have a definite need for financial assistance.
- Fastweb – Create a profile and let fastweb do the research on scholarships, internships colleges and more for you.
- Going Merry - A free, one-stop scholarships platform. It matches you with scholarships and then helps you apply directly. It has both local and national scholarships and you can bulk-apply for multiple scholarships, which share similar essay prompts, using one application.
- Goizueta Legacy Scholarship - Provides scholarships for the children of Coca-Cola employees.
- HS Finder (Hispanic Scholarship Fund) – Scholarship information for Latino students.
- Jack Kent Cooke Foundation - A national scholarship provider dedicated to advancing the education of promising students who have financial need. Open to high-achieving high school seniors who seek to attend and graduate from some of the nation's best four-year college and universities.
- KnowHow2GO – Complete information on college prep, whether in middle school or seniors.
- National Space Club and Foundation Keynote Scholar Application - Provided to a high school senior, undergraduate or graduate student with definite plans to pursue a career in the Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) fields. Since 2013, The National Space Club and Foundation has offered the opportunity for a student to give the keynote address at the National Space Club and Foundation's annual Goddard Memorial Dinner, one of the space industry's most prestigious gatherings. In addition to speaking at the Goddard Memorial Dinner, the individual selected will also receive a scholarship, in the amount of $20,000.
- The NSHSS Foundation - The NSHSS Foundation fosters the growth of students pursuing the STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), business, economics, public policy, and environmental science and sustainability fields. The NSHSS Foundation connects young scholars with additional opportunities to advance their education, personal growth and career interests.
- Peerlift - Proven scholarships, internships, summer programs, and more gathered by fellow students like you. (Founded by a team of 2017 Coca-Cola Scholars!) Learn more about the creation of Peerlift.
- The Platta Law Firm Students with Disabilities Scholarship - open to high-achieving students who have a medical record of disability and is enrolled in high school or an accredited college or university.
- Reagan Foundation Scholarships - Scholarship opportunities for outstanding student leaders.
- Scholar Snapp - A free, simple to use data standard that allows students to reuse their application information - including contact information, essays, transcripts, etc. - from one scholarship application to another thereby streamlining the college scholarship application process.
- Scholarships.com– A free college scholarship search and financial aid information.
- Scholarship America – Provides information and resources for your scholarship search.

- Thurgood Marshall College Fund – Provides scholarships, programmatic and capacity building support to the 47 public Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
- UNCF – Awards 10,000 students each year through 400 scholarship and internship programs so that students from low- and moderate-income families can afford college tuition, books and room and board.
